Vattenfall has appointed Remarkable Group to lead its consultation and communications strategy on the 1.8GW Norfolk Vanguard offshore wind farm off the East Anglia coast.
The developer has hired the company to tackle the significant level of public consultation required as part of the project’s Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP) designation.
The work will be based at Remarkable’s office in the Union Building in central Norwich which the company is planning to expand on the back of the Vattenfall contract.
Remarkable’s chief executive Stephen Pomeroy said: “This project is an incredibly important one for the renewable energy industry in the UK and demonstrates the continued confidence in offshore wind around the UK.
“We’re delighted to be involved with a scheme of this scale, and to bring our integrated consultation and engagement expertise to bear on a project of such national significance.”
