Vattenfall has launched a tender for the installation of turbines for two sites in the German North Sea.
The Swedish energy company is seeking an installation vessel for work at the N-7.2 and N-6.6 sites with offers due by 27 January 2023, according to an EU tender document.
The contracts will run from the 1 June 2023 until the end of 2028.
Vattenfall used its step-in rights to develop the 980MW N-7.2 site 85km off the German island of Borkum in September.
The project had been awarded to RWE Renewables in a German government-led central tender process, but Vattenfall was able to match the bid and had the right to step in having already partially developed the site under a previous regime.
The project, which has formerly been known as Global Tech 2, could be connected to the German grid as soon as 2027 following a final investment decision.
The N-6.6 site, which Vattenfall was previously developing as the 584MW Atlantis 1 project, is still due to be re-tendered by the German government next year.
The search for installation vessels follows a contract notice put out earlier this month seeking contractors to lay inter-array cables at the sites running from mid-2023 to end-2028.
