VBMS is to install inter-array and export cables at Vattenfall’s 92.4MW Aberdeen offshore wind farm off the northeast Scotland coast.
The Dutch outfit, a subsidiary of Royal Boskalis Westminster, will procure, supply, transport and install the 66kV cables.
Boskalis is the balance of plant contractor to build the 11-turbine wind farm.
The contract is worth more €100m, the company said.
As well as the cable work, the contract also includes the design, procurement, fabrication, supply, transportation and installation of 11 suction bucket jacket foundations and scour protection, as well as the provision of the wind turbine transportation and installation vessel.
The foundations and cables will be transported and installed using a fallpipe vessel, transport barges, a large floating sheerleg crane and a cable laying vessel, the company said.
The offshore work is scheduled to start in September 2017 and is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2018.
