Ventus Energy has opened a new office in Taichung Port, Taiwan, to meet growing demand for its high voltage engineering services across the Asia-Pacific region.
The move marks a strategic milestone in the company’s global expansion and follows its entry into the US market in November last year.
The Taiwanese base will allow Ventus to invest in local personnel and support the transition of the country’s highly skilled workforce into offshore wind.
Ventus managing director Lee Glendening said: “This announcement marks a key milestone for Ventus as we officially make ground in Asia with the opening of our regional office there.
“The area is an ideal entry point given the maturity of the offshore wind market in the country. Our base is ideally equipped to support these pivotal projects.”
Taiwan’s west coast has become a hub for offshore wind activity, with the new facility offering proximity to key developments in the sector.
Ventus specialises in high voltage testing and termination, cable fault response, operations and maintenance, and electrical safety services, and is a preferred supplier for onshore and subsea cable repair.
