Waves Group has secured the marine warranty surveyor (MWS) contract for the 1200MW Dogger Bank C offshore wind farm off the east coast of England.
The deal means the marine consultancy is providing MWS services for all three phases of the project.
Waves Group said: “We are pleased to be involved in the construction of all three phases of the project which further reinforces our position as a leading offshore marine consultancy within the offshore wind industry.
“Waves Group has over 10 years’ experience working within the renewable energy sector and have supplied MWS services on a number of large-scale offshore wind farm projects across the UK, Europe and Asia such as, Triton Knoll, Horns Rev 3, Galloper, Beatrice, Seamade, Formosa 1 phase two, all of which are already supplying energy to the grid.”
Dogger Bank is a joint venture between SSE Renewables (40%), Equinor (40%) and Eni (20%) and is located 130km off the coast of England.
Dogger Bank C will connect to the National Grid at the existing Lackenby Substation in Teesside.
