Notus Heavy Lift Solutions is providing technical and operational support for Siemens on the first major turbine component exchange on the 210MW Westermost Rough offshore wind farm off the UK’s east coast.
The company said it has provided engineering and planning due diligence support through turbine component handling solutions, as well as a lifting engineer on board A2Sea’s Sea Challenger vessel.
Notus managing director Wesley Walberg said: “We are delighted to brought in to support with this campaign and feel our previous experience of the turbines construction phase has brought some real value to the project.”
Westermost Rough consists of 35 Siemens 6MW units.
