Fred Olsen Windcarrier carried out its 400th turbine installation while working at Vattenfall’s 406MW Horns Rev 3 offshore wind farm off the west coast of Denmark.
Jack-up Brave Tern is on the job for lead contractor GeoSea, installing 49 MHI Vestas V164-8.3MW machines.

Brave Tern was drafted in to replace GeoSea subsidiary A2Sea’s Sea Installer jack-up, which had been moved on to Otary’s 309MW Rentel wind farm in the summer.
Horns Rev 3 is scheduled to be fully operational early next year.
