At WindEurope 2023 Siemens Gamesa received the IEC-type certificate from TÜV Nord which for its 14MW turbine.
The SG 14-222 DD offshore machine has met all of the applicable standards and requirements for the offshore wind industry, according to the certification.

The model is designed for all wind speeds and can achieve a 25% increase in annual energy production (AEP) compared to its predecessor.
Last year Siemens Gamesa signed two agreements covering the Hai Long 2A (300MW), Hai Long 2B (232MW), and Hai Long 3 (512MW) projects, off Taiwan, which will use 73 SG 14-222 DD turbines.
