Sunly, Deep Wind Offshore, and Valorem Group have signed a partnership agreement to develop the 1GW Tuul Energy offshore wind project in Estonia.
Following the agreement, Valorem Group and Sunly will enter Deep Wind Offshore’s project, off Saaremaa Island.

Olivier Angoulevant, director for offshore at Valorem Group, said: “This partnership marks a significant milestone for Valorem Group in its international development.
“Together with Deep Wind Offshore and Sunly, we believe that the energy transition is built on cooperation and innovation.
“Thanks to the enlarged value proposition developed by Valorem Group for offshore projects, we will combine our expertise for this promising Estonian project.”
Klaus Pilar (pictured: centre), Sunly’s country manager in Estonia, added: “We welcome Estonia’s shift towards a Clean Industry-focused approach, which accelerates renewable energy production and strengthens the industrial base.
“Sunly’s main expertise is in community relations. We are committed to helping communities understand how locally built renewable energy can benefit their businesses, lower electricity prices, and drive regional development.”
Knut Vassbotn, chief executive of Deep Wind Offshore, said: “Securing exclusivity for a major offshore wind area in Estonia was a big win for Deep Wind Offshore.
“Bringing along Valoream Group and Sunly proves the willingness to commit to strong projects.
“In addition, the collaboration shows the increased interest for offshore wind in the region and that Estonia has created an attractive market. Now, we look forward to merging our efforts.”
