Worley has won a contract from Keppel Offshore & Marine to provide engineering services for the construction of two offshore substation platforms for an unnamed wind farm.
The engineering company will provide detailed design engineering services and procurement and fabrication support for the two topsides.
Worley said the work will benefit from a significant digital element.
The second platform will be a replication of the first by using digital replication and 3D model technology.
“It’s a more sustainable way of designing assets by saving on time and resources,” the company said.
Worley director offshore wind US Rob Langford said: “Being part of a project that supports the energy transition through the development of new energy practices aligns with our purpose of delivering a more sustainable world.
“This contract adds to our portfolio of offshore substation projects and by working with Keppel, it defines that global supply chain collaboration is paving the way for the future of the energy industry.”
