Skyborn Renewables and its partners have completed the installation of all 80 monopiles at the 640MW Yunlin offshore wind project off Taiwan.
In addition, over half (42) wind turbines at the project in the Taiwan Strait have now been connected to the grid.
With an energised capacity of 336MW, the project already stands as Taiwan’s fourth largest completed offshore wind farm.
The project team will continue to work closely with all partners to finally complete Yunlin, with the installation of all 80 turbines expected by the end of 2024.
So far, the project team has installed all 80 monopiles, along with 72 transition pieces, 55 turbines, 42 inner array and all 12 export cables.
The Yunlin offshore wind farm will deliver electricity under two 20-year power purchase agreements.
