ABO Wind has entered into a power purchase agreement with Gasum for output from a 40MW wind farm in North Ostrobothnia in Finland.
Energy supplier Gasum will sell renewable electricity generated by the wind farm to its customers starting in 2023 for a 10-year period.
The wind farm, under construction in Kestilan Kokkoneva, is due online in 2022 and will feature nine Nordex turbines.
Gasum will be supplied with an annual output of 100 gigawatt-hours.
Gasum gas and power sales vice president Kimmo Rahkamo said: “We’re pleased to enter into a long-term PPA with ABO Wind.
“Wind power is a clean and renewable form of energy, which has a key role to play in meeting growing energy needs and curbing global warming.
“We want to provide the most comprehensive services on the energy market and to make it easy for our customers to operate on the energy market and to offer our customers renewable Finnish electricity.”
Gasum sells renewable electricity generated by hydro, wind or solar power and bioenergy to its customers.
To date, ABO Wind has sold wind and solar farms with a total capacity of more than 3GW.
