ABO Wind has sold three under construction wind farms in France with a combined capacity of almost 22MW to an unnamed investor.
The La Plaine, Villegats and Guruhnuel wind farms are located in western France and consist of nine turbines totalling 21.6MW.
ABO Wind will construct and deliver the projects on a turnkey basis for the investor.
It added that the sale of a fourth French wind farm is imminent, which together with the recent sale of the Castlegore wind farm in Northern Ireland to Capital Dynamics and the three other French projects amounts to investment volume of €100m.
ABO Wind has also started construction of another French wind farm in the village of St Hilaire-du-Maine in close cooperation with the local citizen organisation Vents citoyens.
The citizens will take over 25% of the project company.
The project consists of four turbines with a total rated output of 11.4MW.
ABO Wind intends to operate the wind farm together with the partners on a long-term basis.
The company said it is also working with a direct marketer to support local projects through the sales of the generated electricity.
ABO Wind chief executive Andreas Hollinger said: “The current sales underline the high significance of the French market for ABO Wind.
“We are particularly pleased that the construction of the wind farms is proceeding surprisingly smoothly under the difficult conditions of the pandemic.”
ABO said that some of the deliveries have arrived even earlier than expected, and the supply chain is functioning well.
Construction is taking place in compliance with strict hygiene and distancing rules.
Commissioning of the French projects is scheduled between autumn 2020 and spring 2021.
