A fund managed by Allianz Global Investors (Luxembourg) has bought six French wind farms totalling 62MW from independent fund managers DIF Renewable Energy Fund.
The six projects were commissioned between 2006 and 2009.
The Hamburg office of law firm Watson Farley & Williams was lead legal counsel to DIF on the transaction, including on regulatory matters, in cooperation with the Paris office.
The WFW team was led by Hamburg-based partner Malte Jordan with assistance from associate Malte Koch.
In Paris, partners Arnaud Felix, Laurent Battoue, Guillaume Ansaloni, Romain Girtanner and associates Charles-Douglas Fuz, Julie de Bréon and Inès Garcia de las Bayonas advised.
Jordan said: “We are delighted to have advised DIF on another significant energy transaction.
“Receiving this mandate complements our extensive activity in the wind power sector in recent years and cements our position as the leading law for energy experience and expertise in Germany and beyond.”
