Apex Clean Energy has acquired a wind farm in northern Texas with capacity of up to 360MW from Oklahoma developer Novus Windpower.
The Novus IV wind farm in Hansford County and Sherman County could start being built next year, Apex said without giving more details.
“Novus IV is an excellent project in a strategic location,” Apex president Mark Goodwin said.
“The Texas and Oklahoma Panhandle region has some of the best wind in the country, and we are pleased to be partnering with Novus Windpower to bring this project through construction and into operations.”
The US developer installed 1042MW of new wind capacity last year, it said.
