Apex Clean Energy has acquired the up to 130MW Sangamon Wind One wind farm in Illinois from American Wind Energy Management Corp (AWEM).
The wind farm will feature up to 65 turbines some 8 miles west of Springfield on a 20,000 acre site. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
“We’re pleased to be working with AWEM to bring another high-quality project to completion,” said Apex president Mark Goodwin.
“AWEM is once again very excited to be teaming with Apex to move another project forward through acquisition,” added AWEM president Andreas Knauer.
