Apex Clean Energy is to sell electricity from the 300MW Perryton wind farm in Texas to labeling and packaging materials manufacturer Avery Dennison Corp.
The power purchase agreement (PPA) covers 20MW of electricity from the project, which will be located in Ochiltree County.
The wind farm will consist of 130 Siemens 2.307MW turbines, with construction scheduled to start in spring 2017.
The PPA is part of Avery Dennison’s 2025 sustainability goal to reduce absolute greenhouse gas emissions from its operations by 26% between 2015 and 2025.
