A Goldwind subsidiary and Apple are setting up several joint ventures to develop wind farms in China.
The deal will see Beijing Tianrun New Energy Investment transfer 30% equity shares in four subsidiaries to Apple to establish the JV companies.
The four companies are Nanyang Runtang New Energy, Zibo Runchuan New Energy, Shuozhou Pinglu Sineng Wind Power Company and Qiaojia Tianqiao Wind Power Company.
Goldwind and Apple said they will also look at other opportunities to collaborate, such as on the direct supply and purchase of renewable electricity to Apple’s manufacturing partners.
Apple is committed to powering all its global facilities from 100% renewable energy.
