Enel Green Power has signed a power purchase agreement with beer brewer Anheuser-Busch to supply 152.5MW of electricity from the 298MW Thunder Ranch wind farm in Oklahoma.
The deal will cover about 50% of Anheuser-Busch’s US operations and also includes renewable energy credits generated by the wind farm.
Thunder Ranch is currently under construction and is expected to be operational by the end of the year.
In March, Anheuser-Busch’s parent company Anheuser-Busch InBev committed to secure all its electricity from renewable sources by 2025.
Enel Green Power chief executive Antonio Cammisecra said: “This agreement is another important milestone for our company in the US and globally.”
