Belltown Power has reached financial close on the 39MW Tom nan Clach wind farm in the Scottish Highlands.
Lending was led by Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), clearing the way for full construction featuring Vestas V112 3.05MW turbines.
Tom nan Clach holds a Contract for Difference (CfD) and is due to go live in October 2018. Turbine deliveries are expected to start in the second quarter next year.
The project was originally developed by Infinergy.
DLA Piper advised MUFG. It is the company’s second CfD finance deal in recent weeks following a similar milestone at RockbySea’s 30MW Coire na Cloiche also in the Highlands.
