Blades for turbines at RES’s 17.5MW Turncole onshore wind farm near Maldon in Essex are being delivered to the site by barge.
McNicholas has a £5m contract to build the seven-turbine project, with construction having started in January
RES said the wind farm is due online by the end of the year.
The company estimates that an average of 27 people will be employed on site during construction.
Once the project becomes operational, it will provide an index-linked community benefit package equating £87,500 per year.
