Canadian company Boralex has commissioned the 24MW Seuil du Cambresis wind farm in France.
The project, which is located in the Nord region of the country, features seven Vestas V117 3.45MW turbines.
It is expected to contribute about €4.8m to Boralex’s annualised earnings and deliver 74,500 megawatt-hours of electricity a year.
Seuil du Cambresis is supported by a feed-in premium agreement for 15 years, Boralex said.
The wind farm was financed through the company’s credit facility, which was included in a refinancing deal announced on 28 November.
The commissioning of Seuil du Cambresis increases Boralex’s capacity to 975MW in France and a total of 2037MW worldwide.
Boralex Europe general manager Nicolas Wolff said: “Seuil du Cambresis is the fifth wind farm we’ve installed this year as part of our strategic plan; it will enable us to reach our 1000MW of installed capacity in France by 2020, which will also mark the 30th anniversary of our company.”
