BP Wind has signed an agreement to use a technical asset management platform for its 1600MW wind portfolio across North America.
BP Wind Energy is deploying the Power Factors Drive Plus software across its operational portfolio of wind farms located in more than nine US states.
Power Factors CEO Gary Meyers said: “As the leader in renewable energy asset management software, we could not be happier to be partnering with bp, one of the world’s largest companies, which is investing in a renewable future.
“We’re looking forward to the rapid deployment of our platform and near-term achievement of bp’s digital transformation objectives.
BP Wind CEO Al Vickers said: “Increasing investment in renewables is a key part of our ambition to become a net zero company by 2050 or sooner and digitalisation will play a significant role in creating value as we implement our new strategy.
“We are pleased to partner with Power Factors as we seek to gain efficiencies and performance insights from implementation of the PF Drive Plus platform.”
