Brazilian renewable energy company Omega Geracao is to acquire the 303MW Assurua wind complex in the state of Bahia in Brazil from FIP IEER, an investment fund owned by Companhia de Energias Renovaveis.
The deal also gives Omega the right of first offer for a further 2GW of wind and solar projects under development by FIP IEER in Bahia.

Omega Geracao will pay BRL1.9bn (€435m) for Assurua and the right of first offer for the other projects.
Assurua comprises 13 wind farms that started commercial operations between April 2016 and February 2018.
