Global asset manager Capital Dynamics has acquired a 50% stake in the Whiteside Hill wind farm in Scotland from GE Energy Financial Services for an undisclosed price.
The 28.5MW project, which is located in Dumfries and Galloway, comprises 10 GE 2.85MW turbines and has been operational since March this year.
Whiteside Hill is expected to be accredited under the UK Renewables Obligation scheme, entitling it to receive 0.9 Renewables Obligation Certificates for each megawatt-hour of electricity it produces until 2037.
Capital Dynamics affiliate CD Arevon UK will carry out asset management services for the wind farm. CD Arevon UK already manages Capital Dynamics’ UK wind and solar portfolio.
Capital Dynamics European clean energy infrastructure team principal Dario Bertagna said: “We are excited to add the Whiteside Hill project to our UK wind portfolio furthering our position as one of the largest independent managers of operating onshore wind in the UK.”
