Argyll company Renewable Parts Limited (RPL) has secured funding from the Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) that will be used to strengthen its online sales capacity and marketing.
The company said the £25,497 will be used to help fund attendance at national and international energy trade shows in Glasgow, Liverpool and Hamburg, and set up a new integrated e-commerce website.
It added that as a result of the finance it expects to treble its turnover and generate more than £1m in international sales in the next two years.
HIE business growth account manager in Argyll and the Islands Gary Haldane said: “This project will help RPL develop new national and international contacts and generate demand that will be met by the new e-commerce site.
“This in turn will help the business grow, supporting and creating employment and strengthening community resilience in mid-Argyll.”
RPL chief executive James Barry said: “This highly welcome investment from HIE will enable us to significantly increase our marketing operations at a crucial time of market change, allowing us to accelerate growth market capture.”
RPL provides specialist technical and logistical supply chain services to the renewable energy industry in the UK, Ireland and Europe, including replacement parts and consumables for out-of-warranty wind farms.
