Chinese companies Goldwind and CECEP Wind Power Corporation have started building the 175MW White Rock wind farm in Australia.
A ground breaking ceremony kicked off work on the first stage of the $400m project in New South Wales, which will be operational in the second half of 2017, the developers said.
White Rock, located to the west of Glen Innes, will initially feature 70 Goldwind 2.5MW turbines.
Consent is in place for a further 49 turbines, which could take total capacity to 300MW.
