Chinese manufacturer Zhejiang Windey has been selected as the preferred turbine supplier for several wind projects in Serbia.
The agreement includes the supply of 28 turbines, totalling around 110MW as well as a 10-year service and maintenance agreement for the Kosava Phase 2, Kula 2, Kula 3, Kula 4 and RAM wind projects.
Serbian energy company Fintel Energija has developed the projects.
The agreement includes supply and installation of 19 of the WD164 3.6MW turbine, three WD164 3.3MW and six WD172 5.0MW machines.
Windey will deliver O&M services by establishing a local service company headquartered in Belgrade.
“We are very proud to announce Windey as our selected turbine supplier, which marks a milestone in the projects and brings them closer to commercial operation.
“This highlights our ability to build value in our portfolio projects, by advancing them to more mature stages and higher valuations,” said Tiziano Giovannetti, CEO at Fintel Energija.
