Welsh government-owned Trydan Gwyrdd Cymru has launched a public consultation for its up-to 162MW Glyn Cothi Wind Farm near Brechfa, Carmarthenshire.
The array is set to feature 27 6MW turbines, and would power 144,000 Welsh homes.
Simon Morgan, Development Director at Trydan Gwyrdd Cymru said: “Our project design is in its preliminary stage.
“We are looking forward to meeting people at the consultation events, hearing the views and ideas of local people, and feeding our learnings back into the next stage of the design process.”
The Trydan Gwyrdd Cymru team will be hosting local drop-in events in November which will include a digital model of what the wind farm might look like, project information boards and maps.
Managed by Natural Resources Wales, Brechfa Forest covers approximately 6,000 hectares and is primarily used for timber production and recreation.
