EDF has cleared the local authority hurdle with plans to boost output to 60.8MW at its consented Corriemoillie wind farm in the Scottish Highlands.
Members of the north planning applications committee raised no objection to the plans, which will now be determined by Holyrood ministers.
EDF is planning to install 19 GE 3.2MW turbines at Corriemoillie, which is near Garve in Ross-shire.
The wind farm is due to come online within the Renewables Obligation regime.
It was originally developed by ScottishPower, followed by Eon.
