Croatian developer HEP Group has selected Nordex to supply 18 turbines to the 58MW Korlat wind farm in the southern Zadar County.
The German manufacturer will deliver N131/3600 machines to the site some 40km from the port of Zadar near the town of Benkovac.
Delivery will begin by the end of the year and commercial operations are expected in 2020.
A service and maintenance deal for 20 years is included at the project, which is the state-owned energy player’s debut wind farm.
“We are pleased that the HEP Group has now added wind turbine generators to its existing power plant portfolio for the first time and that they have opted for our turbine technology,” said Nodex sales boss Patxi Landa.
“By building Korlat, we are supporting the HEP Group on its way to a CO2-free, climate-neutral electricity production.”
“Korlat will be the first wind power plant in our generation portfolio, but also the first power plant in Croatia to generate electricity without incentives,” said HEP Group board president Frane Barbari.
“In preparation are other wind power plant projects, which are developed as part of renewable development scenario.”
