Orsted subsidiary Lincoln Clean Energy has agreed to sell 500MW of electricity to ExxonMobil from a wind farm and a solar development in Texas under two long-term power purchase agreements.
The deals cover 250MW from the 300MW Sage Draw wind farm and 250MW from the 350MW Permian solar plant.

Sage Draw is expected to be operational in the first quarter of 2020, while Permian is scheduled to come online in the second quarter of 2021.
Lincoln Clean Energy could add more solar to its portfolio but the main focus will remain with onshore wind, Orsted said.
