Deutsche Windtechnik has expanded its wind maintenance business in France, starting with four wind farms featuring Enercon turbines.
The contracts include full maintenance services, including large components.
The agreements are with companies belonging to the Swiss energy supplier IWB and a French energy supplier.
In total the four wind farms host 22 Enercon E70 turbines.
The new contracts are planned for a period of five years with an option to extend.
Clea Hamm, Director of IWB Energy France, said: “IWB is pursuing a long-term strategy. Indeed, we want to operate our wind power plants as long and sustainably as possible.
“That’s why we rely on preventive maintenance.
“The service agreements with Deutsche Windtechnik provide for an operating period of up to 30 years.
“We are pleased to have found an experienced supplier with this company and look forward to continuing our collaboration.”
The 16 turbines operated by IWB are part of the Maisnières, Méautis-Auvers and Saucourt wind farms.
The remaining six wind turbines are located in a park also located in northern France.
After Germany, Poland, Sweden and Belgium, Deutsche Windtechnik is France providing a complete service, independent of the manufacturer, for various Enercon wind technologies.
With the new French contracts, Deutsche Windtechnik supports 824 Enercon wind turbines in these five countries, mostly for integral maintenance operations.
