DNV GL has teamed up with Singapore start-up SwarmX to offer wind and solar generators in Southeast Asia drone inspection services.
The certification outfit, which also offers testing and advisory services, said the tie-up will allow generators to monitor production and performance of their assets.
SwamX operates a fully autonomous drone docking station which will be combined with DNV GL’s in-house software to inspect wind and solar structures.
“DNV GL initiated the partnership to combine its core competencies with new, external technologies for enhanced energy efficiency,” said DNV GL chief executive Remi Eriksen.
“It reflects our company-wide transformation into a fully customer centric, efficient and data smart company, for improved asset operation.”
