Irish developer DP Energy has appointed Catherine Way as business development manager for its Australian unit.
Way (pictured) joins from RenewablesSA, the clean energy agency of the South Australian government.
Her work with industry, policy development and legislative reform has supported an uptake of about 50% of electricity from renewable sources in the state, DP Energy said.
The developer is planning the 375MW Port Augusta wind/solar hybrid facility in South Australia.
“Catherine’s appointment represents further evidence of our commitment to establish a long term presence in each of the key, global jurisdictions in which we operate,” DP Energy chief executive Simon De Pietro said.
“We deliver renewable energy projects which are sustainable and environmentally benign,” he said. “Catherine’s skill set will enhance our ability to accelerate our plans to do that in Australia.”
