EDF Energies Nouvelles is acquiring a 50% stake in Indian wind energy company SITAC Wind Management and Development.
The partnership, which will be EDF EN’s subsidiary in India, plans to develop four onshore wind projects totalling 142MW before the end of the year.
It plans to cover every section of the wind energy market from development, construction, financing and operations and maintenance.
The projects will be located in Gujarat and will have 25-year power purchase agreements with GUVNL, the local electricity distribution company.
