EDF Renewable Energy has completed the sale of a 50% interest in 300MW of New Mexico wind projects to BlackRock.
The deal for the stakes in the 250MW Roosevelt wind farm and 50MW Milo project is the last of five signed between the two companies in the last year.
The New Mexico duo features a total of 150 Vestas turbines and power is delivered to Xcel subsidiary Southwestern Public Service Company.
EDF vice president Raphael Declercq said: “EDF RE has committed 50% stakes in 894MW of US wind energy projects to BlackRock since the start of 2015 along with a 40% stake in an earlier transaction.
He said the partial sell-downs “are an integral part of our business” and illustrate the company’s philosophy of “building long-term relationships with leading industry counterparties”.
EDF Renewable Services will provide balance-of-plant operations and maintenance for the facility including 24/7 remote monitoring.
