EDP Renewables North America plans to erect Vestas turbines at the 100MW Meadow Lake 5 project in northwest Indiana.
The Danish manufacturer will supply 50 V110 2MW machines, EDPR said in a filing to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
Construction is underway and EDPR expects to commission Meadow Lake 5 in September 2017.
Two Indiana cooperatives, Hoosier Energy Rural Electric Cooperative and Wabash Valley Power Association, have agreed to a 20-year purchase power agreement for the output.
The wind farm will feed into the transmission system owned by Indiana Michigan Power Company and operated by PJM Interconnection.
The project will share interconnection facilities with the first four phases at Meadow Lake, which have a combined installed capacity of 500MW.
Meadow Lake 1 comprises 121 Vestas V82 1.65MW turbines, the second phase consists of 66 Acciona AW-82 machines, the third tranche includes 69 GE SLE 1.5MW units and Meadow Lake 4 has 47 Suzlon S88 2.1MW turbines.
An additional 75MW phase six is in development with commercial operation expected to start in 2018.
