EDP Renewable North America is to sell electricity from a 200MW wind farm in Iowa to an unnamed client in the US.
The company said the wind farm is scheduled to start of operations in 2018 and will sell the electricity under a 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA).
EPDR said the latest deal means the company has already signed 1GW of PPAs in the US for projects to be installed during 2016–2020.
The company is targeting 1.8GW of new capacity in the US during the period.
