Egg Power has acquired the project rights to Chirmorie Wind Farm in South Ayrshire, Scotland from Coriolis Energy and Electricity Supply Board.
The company said the deal marks its fourth UK renewable energy acquisition and follows a £400m construction debt financing facility secured in December 2025.
The acquisition was first reported in the 19 March subscriber edition of reNEWS.
The Chirmorie project is expected to generate 275000MWh of electricity annually and reduce grid CO2 emissions by more than 120000 tonnes each year.
Construction is targeted to begin later this year with operations starting in 2028.
egg Power is part of Liberty Growth, the investment arm of Liberty Global, and is focused on supplying clean energy to telecoms operators, digital infrastructure providers and other energy-intensive industries.
The company’s existing portfolio includes the Grange 70MW solar farm, Rainsbrook 20MW solar farm and Rag Lane 52MW solar farm.
“These projects represent a key milestone in our journey towards a greener future as we develop, build, own and operate projects and services to provide low-cost clean energy to our customers through Corporate Power Purchase Agreements,” said Ilesh Patel, who leads egg Power at Liberty Global.
“Onshore wind has an incredibly important role to play alongside other renewable energy technologies as part of a lower carbon future.”
