Enel Green Power has started construction of the 12MW Paradela wind farm in Spain.
The six-turbine project is located in the province of Lugo in the Galicia region of the country.
It will be operational by the end of the year and will be able to generate over 42 gigawatt-hours a year of electricity.
Paradela is one of three wind farms the company is currently building in Galicia. The others are the 52MW Serra das Penas and the 8MW Pena Ventosa facilities.
The three new projects in Galicia are part of the 540MW assigned to Enel Green Power in renewable energy tenders organised by the Spanish government in May 2017.
The other projects will be located in Aragon, Andalusia, Castile and Leon and Castile-La Mancha and, once operational, will be able to generate about 1750GWh a year.
