Enercon has announced that the 40MW Ordu wind farm in Turkey has been successfully commissioned.
All 10 of its E-138 EP3 turbines at Kalen Enerji project are now connected to the grid.
Ordu wind farm is located in the Back Sea region characterised by challenging site conditions for array installation and operation, according to the turbine firm.
As a result, Enercon said it supported its customer right from the beginning with comprehensive site analytics to optimise turbine selection and site layout.
Towers, blades, and generators of the E-138 EP3 series were manufactured in Turkey, while the nacelles were supplied from German production facilities.
This project has achieved an impressive localisation rate according to the YEKA 3 Localisation Specification, underlining our commitment to effectively use local resources and expertise, Enercon said.
Head of CAMEA region Arif Günyar said: “We are grateful for this milestone and the trust that Kalen Enerji places in our Enercon technology and team.
“Supporting our customers both with quality turbine technology and further value adding services makes us a reliable and experienced partner for wind farm projects worldwide.”
