An investigation has been launched after a storm damaged two Enercon turbines installed at wind farms in France and Germany.
On 21 October, the storm, named Ignatz, hit with gale-force gusts of wind at speeds of more than 100km/h causing rotor blade damage to two E-138 EP3 turbines, an Enercon spokesperson said.

One blade each was damaged on a turbine at the Auzay project in western France and one machine at the Nattheim wind farm in Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany, the spokesperson said.
There were no injuries and the turbines were secured at once, the spokesperson added.
“Enercon is in close contact with the customers and the competent authorities,” he said.
