Energia has completed the installation of turbines at its 25MW Crossmore wind farm in County Clare, in Ireland.
The installation of the final machine at the site (pictured) near Lissycasey was overseen by the Energia Renewables construction team in close collaboration with turbine provider Enercon, which supplied and safely erected all seven units.
Commissioning and testing of the hardware will commence in the coming weeks and will continue until the wind farm becomes fully operational, which is expected next summer.
Crossmore will operate a community benefit fund which will start allocating project grants one year after the start of commercial operation in 2026.
The fund will be administered on behalf of Energia by an independent charitable trust and will advertise for community group project grant applications which prioritise energy efficiency, sustainability and community resilience.
