Eno Energy has kicked off installation of six of its 114 turbines at the 21MW Plauerhagen wind farm in the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania region of Germany.
The project, which is being developed by the Dortmund-based DEW21, will be completed by the second quarter of this year.
Some eight Eno 82 turbines are already in situ on a separate phase of the project dating back to 2010.
The new Eno hardware is rated at 3.5MW and will feature 127.5 metre hub heights.
Eno’s technical director Stefan Bockholt said: “The construction of the wind farm for the DEW21 operator continues apace – the first wind turbine has already begun operation.
“The measurement of the power curve for the eno 114 completed in January 2016 produced – depending on the project – up to four percent more yield than originally calculated.
“That is an additional plus for our customers in terms of cost effectiveness, and confirms the extensive development work for our powerful and turbulence-resistant 3.5 MW platform.”
