Enova has secured financial backing for 250MW of wind capacity in Germany.
Enova is cooperating with and the asset manager of Signal Iduna, Hansainvest Real Assets, to further expand its wind portfolio in the country.
The partnership has already started building two repowering projects are underway in Emsland, Lower Saxony, which are scheduled to go into operation in 2025 and 2026 with a total capacity of 87MW.
Further wind farms in the Weser-Ems region with a planned capacity of 180MW are already in the approval planning stage and will gradually expand the Enova IPP 2 platform.
“Following the success of the first Enova IPP, which built up a wind farm portfolio of around 100MW in the years from 2017 to 2020, we were able to convince Hansainvest Real Assets and Signal Iduna to continue our strong growth in the coming years.
“We can build on a strong partner here and look forward to many future projects,” said Bjorn Burau, Chief Financial Officer of Enova.
With the expansion of Enova IPP 2 and the continuation of the cooperation with Signal Iduna and Hansainvest Real Assets, Enova is continuing towards its strategic goal of €1bn in assets under management.
Hansainvest Real Assets and Enova have been working together since 2017.
As part of the strategic cooperation, Hansainvest Real Assets is providing long-term mezzanine capital with a maturity of up to 22 years.
