German reinsurance company Munich Re has completed the acquisition of the 79MW Jenasen wind farm in Sweden from Eolus for an undisclosed price through the former’s asset manager MEAG.
Eolus will be responsible for the commercial and technical management of the project, which is located near Sundsvall.
Electricity generated by Jenasen is being sold to Google under a long-term power purchase agreement.
MEAG managing director Holger Kerzel said: “We are pleased about the successful completion of the transaction and the further expansion of our portfolio.
“With our entire renewable energy plants for Munich Re Group, we will produce enough electricity to supply around 590,000 private households.”
