Italian outfit ERG is to supply German energy company Eon with electricity generated by wind farms for three years.
Under the terms of the deal ERG will provide Eon with up to 3 terrawatt-hours of wind power for the 2019-2021 period, with an option to renew for a fourth year.

The deal will help meet the needs of Eon’s customers that demand low-carbon sources of electricity.
ERG will also implement a hedging strategy for its output, characterised by production time profiles that are similar to consumption profiles for Eon’s customers.
ERG is Italy’s leading wind power operator.
