Italian company Falck Renewables has opened its 25MW Assel Valley wind farm in Ayrshire, Scotland.
The developer cut the metaphorical ribbon on 28 October at the 10-turbine project, which was “introduced into service” around 5km south of Girvan.
The wind farm (pictured) features Nordex N90/2500 turbines and pushes Falck’s operational portfolio in Scotland to 307MW across nine projects.
The company’s total UK portfolio is 377MW and it plans to hit 413MW “within the first quarter of next year”.
Falck chief executive Toni Volpe said: “With the launch of the Assel Valley wind farm we reach, ahead of schedule, the goals we set earlier this year.”
