Finnish blade maintenance and repair outfit Bladefence is to acquire Janneniska’s fleet of skylifts in Europe.
When the deal is complete, Bladefence and its Canadian subsidiary Bladefence Canada will operate a fleet of six 90-metre units, as well as 103-metre and 104-metre machines.
Bladefence has used Janneniska’s skylifts in its operations since 2011 to carry out blade maintenance operations.
Bladefence managing director Ville Karkkolaine said: “In recent years Janneniska’s tallest skylifts from 90 metre to 104 metre have been used almost exclusively in wind energy applications and this move streamlines Bladefence’s operations and enables Bladefence to offer wider variety of services to its wind energy clients as well as clients in other field of industries requiring extreme height skylift access solutions.”
